The neu-stim uses a gentle piezoelectric stimulatory effect on nerve-dense areas of the body,
which is gentle enough for a developingt brain. This helps to integrate the retained reflexes and
regulate the nervous system so the child can thrive in their body and environment.
Because it is a very gentle form of stimulation, there are no side effects, but it’s very important to
follow the prescribed treatment because overstimulation can cause regressive like behaviour. .
You will need to purchase a new treatment tool, to ensure the application is still effective.
We run in person tests every 2nd month. Doing so reduces travel to the centre for families.
We can transfer the in-person review to an online review.
Whether in person or online, Alexander will assess the child and determine how the body has
progressed alongside that month's stimulation. After this, he will be able to update the treatment
and profile of that person as necessary.
The child will need to wear (or bring to change into) comfortable clothing, which they may move
around in. Please avoid jeans and skirts. Cotton or other natural fibres are preferred and may be
necessary at some stages of the treatment. Please arrive on time as there are only 30 minutes
per session.
Please sign in on a phone or other device with updated software. The main purpose of the
session is a physical assessment and so phones are usually great, as they may be handled and
moved for better visual focus. A bonus if you have a stand for the phone. You will need a private,
uninterrupted, quiet space and your stimulation tools. Alexander will then guide you through the
assessment of the child, where you, the parent or carer, will undertake some of the assessment
under guidance and observation.

The average time frame is anywhere from 12-24 months. It depends on the individual's progress,
what therapy they undertake, and at what times.
Stimulation application is best on a hard, flat, firm surface so the spine is aligned and neutral.
If on the floor lay down a yoga mat or towel (not on the carpet for allergy/toxin reasons).
Alternatively if you have space a firm massage table with a face hole.
The sweep is 40 strokes each side, 80 in total.
Breakdown:
4 strokes each side x 10 repetitions each = 40 each side. 80 in total.
Complete one full side before commencing the opposite sides.
Foot Double x 20 AM+PM
20 strokes A, followed by 20 strokes B = 40 strokes on each foot. 80 in total.
The number on the portal represents the number of strokes in total. If the stimulation is
needed on both sides, the number will dictate the strokes on each side.
For example;
40 x Lumber glute sweep, 40 strokes L + 40 Strokes R = 80 in total.
20 x Jaw stimulation, 20 L + 20 R = 40 in total.
We can restart front crawl/martial arts once the ATNR has been removed. Anywhere from the
4-14 month mark (depends on the individual). Looking down the arm movement of crawl/martial
arts reinforces the reflex and will prevent integration. The child will return to these activities with
added ease and grace once the reflex has subsided.
There needs to be a 7 hour interval between the morning and afternoon application.
The average time frame is anywhere from 12-24 months, it does depend on the individuals
reflex retention and consistency in treatment application.
• Tram lines are normal and to be expected.
• Rashes are not a side effect from the stimulation - other causes should be looked into (food,
change in soap or washing powder etc)
• Bruising, if purple, please send an image through to Alexander. If red, it can last for weeks
without bruising or concern. You may need to lighten application pressure while the body is
adapting.
Using a firm pressure, similar to a sports massage.
We would not postpone or reschedule appointments even if treatment is not done. The previous
stimulation is still working and things will be changing internally so it is always best to retest and
ensure the child is doing the correct stimulation. This also ensures the momentum and efficacy of
the stimulation is kept up, so not to delay and hit stagnation.
It is important to always follow the prescribed treatment, over-stimulation can cause regression.
No, treatment is individualised and the reflexes must be integrated in a particular order.
Everyone will have a unique reflex profile that will differ from others, it’s not a one size fits all
treatment.
Yes, the vagus nerve stimulation can increases energy and can exasperate any underlying
behavioural tendencies - depression, aggression, hyperactivity, happiness etc. Things should
settle and subside after about 5 days as the child adapts to this particular stimulation. However, if
it continues longer please get it in touch. We may need to adjust the repetitions and gradually
build up to what has been subscribed.
Children under 8 years use the brush. 8 years and above can use the single side of the stimulator.
Using a brush, follow the lines as drawn.
Do each stroke as shown.
Alternate which side you start with morning and evening and the direction of the stroke.
For example;
30 strokes each side (60 in total) x AM+PM
AM - start right side, followed by left, application from the nose to the chin
(complete the full side before moving onto the other)
PM - start left to right, application from the chin to the nose
The video is there to demonstrate the strokes to follow, please do the allocated number
prescribed.
Changes are varied and fluctuate throughout the programme. They are also, quite literally,
akin to growing up. Therefore while some are very noticeable, others are far more nuanced.
When seeing someone every day, we can become accustomed to a new normal. In this
scenario, it is advisable to consider two things:
1. Is the original reason we began still occurring & is it the correct timeline for this to have
changed in the treatment?
2: What other issues were happening previously, that are no longer.
Once reflexes are removed, physical change is inevitable. How much that affects us
psychologically or in our behaviour, is very personal to each person, their experience, and
their surroundings. Ultimately, we are always transparent. If the therapist felt that you were
not making progress, the therapist would have mentioned it already. Remember, only when a
reflex is fully removed and seen to be out for 2 reviews, will the removal notification come
up. This will often give information as to what to look out for as improvement shortly.
Alexander would have gone through this exercise during the appointment, body clear is a
reminder to complete the exercise/repetitions as we do not have a video/sheet.
Any way possible. This is often an obstacle, particularly with teenagers. Ultimately, the best
advice is to continue to add value and reason to why we are doing this. Perhaps for older
ones showing websites with info on what reflexes they have and what it will mean when the
relevant reflexes are removed. With the younger ones, encouragement, bribery whatever it
takes. The treatment is life-changing and you know your child best! So you will know the best
way. Just always try to avoid any battle or conflict. This repeated conflict can be very
damaging and if this is severe and recurrent please let us know.
This depends on what therapy you are undertaking. Ultimately, if you are undertaking our full
package, you are going through a complete multi-discipline programme of physical
stimulation and motor coordination exercises, with psychological and psychotherapeutic
support and development sessions, alongside a nutritional programme to alleviate any
gastrointestinal issues or intolerances/deficiencies.
If just RRS, this is a physical programme of physical stimulation and motor coordination
exercises that ensure optimum function of the neurophysiological state. This allows the
nervous system to operate correctly, regulating emotions and sleep. Thereby allowing better
focus, emotional stability, and physical ability.
No, the auditory track must be listened to in a quiet place without background noise. No - TV, radio, screens, car or eating. The child can listen whilst drawing, doing homework or before bed.
While this is not a hindrance to the treatment success in any way, there is a lot of value to be
had 10 minutes or so of quiet time or silence. Therefore we suggest holding off for as
long as possible, giving you the ability to utilise and implement at a later stage in treatment
when interest/compliance is waning. This can apply a little novelty and regain acceptance to
continuing treatment future down the line.
If doing the stimulation on the floor, they will be unable to listen to the Auditory Base Track during application as the headphone would get in the way (head will be turned to one side - need straight spinal alignment. However, if doing the application on a massage table with a Page 25face hole you can listen to the audio track as his head can be face down in the hole and the headphones won't be an issue and obstruct alignment.
It's best to perform the test early on weekend morning. If eating first, 1 hour after the meal. You'll need a good quality computer screen, position it to avoid glare on screen.
The boxes won’t completely merge but the goal is to ensure the colour of each box is the same shade/colour.
A visual contrast sensitivity (VCS) test measures how well someone can see details in low contrast. The test involves showing a series of images with decreasing contrast and recording when the subject can no longer identify objects, shapes, or patterns. The VCS test indicates how nutritional deficiencies or certain bio-toxins, such as mould, create a neurotoxin affecting the brain and retinal artery blood flow. This interferes with the ability to discriminate between white and grey contrast as seen in the test.
We are the sum of our surroundings, be it physiological or psychological. We absorb behavioural influence from our parents and peers. We develop physically based on the activities we undertake. Equally, our air, water and food significantly impact our health and mental state. At The Child Development Centre, we assess each of these to ascertain nothing is negatively contributing to you or your child's profile.
We use these to support our environmental assessment and suggested interventions.
This practice is utilised as part of our parent support intervention. Neo Emotional Release (NER) takes a modern psychosomatic, multi-layered approach to release the emotions that have been stored around any trauma we experienced and couldn’t be safely processed at the time it occurred. It does so by working with both the body as well as the mind by combining the following techniques:
● Psychosomatics
● Breathwork
● Bodywork
● Visualisations & vocal guidance
● Energy work
● Inner child work.
This process helps cultivate a new relationship with oneself and one’s emotions. It activates life force energy to allow the body to start self-organising and regain balance, well-being, and health.
